When the .ing TLD was first released, I bought a fun domain: ColorAnyth.ing. At first I redirected it all to ColorBliss, but sometime last year I wanted to see if I could get just a coloring page site to rank in Google.

All I did was build a simple site, and auto generate coloring pages each day on it.

It gets almost no organic traffic. Here's traffic for the past 12 months:

Singapore is filtered out because there seems to be some bot traffic from there inflating the numbers.

So I decided I'm going to run an experiment in backlink building

I'm going to try to spend around $500 on backlinks that are really cheap but have high Domain Rating (DR).

My goal is to see if I can manipulate the DR to be much higher; I think it's at 18 right now. I might try to get around five backlinks. I am also curious if I can increase the search presence just from buying backlinks, so I'm going to give it a try.
